I served in the Army. Yeah. Skin color often went right through the uniform. No matter how good you were out on maneuvers, or pressed your uniform was, or ideally followed all the rules to earn that Army Good Conduct Medal...racism still served with you in the ranks. Brown soldiers were sometimes as bad as white soldiers with racism towards Black soldiers. Just being honest of what I saw and experienced. Thanks for writing this.
